Thanks so much for your consideration.

The Dixon family proudly supports the American Heart Association in their efforts to fight heart disease.  Each year John Dixon leads in the annual Santa Barbara Heart & Stroke Walk to raise much needed funds to help save lives.

John Dixon was first discovered with heart disease in his life as a 1 year old baby, having his first open heart surgery at age 10, and a 2nd at age 42 receiving an artificial heart valve. John’s sister Sherry also had open heart surgery at age 44 and is on her 3rd pacemaker/defibrillator  and continues to survive in 3rd stage heart failure. John’s brother Michael Dixon living in Kona Hawaii discovered in 2012 that he needed open heart surgery to replace his Aorta valve, which he had done at Santa Barbara Cottage hospital and recovered at John’s house in Santa Barbara. Michael passed away peacefully on November 28, 2015 from Cardiac Arrest.  John’s father Jim Dixon has had multiple heart procedures (stents) to clear blockages and also had a major heart attack on November 25th , 2015. He spent 34 days at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital (mostly in ICU) and had 2 surgeries including the new TAVR procedure to replace his Aorta valve.  Jim is currently trying to recover from all of this.

The American Heart Association funds critical new research that saves lives like ours. They are pioneers for research that has led to valve replacements, open heart surgery, CPR, pacemakers and many other breakthroughs. Every day they are working to find new cures to end heart disease. –

So it is easy to understand why the DIXON family proudly supports the American Heart Association and hope you will too!
